PBJ for the sophisticated palate


Sorry for the terribly glaring picture. :/

Step 1: Head to your State Farmer’s Market. If you don’t live in NC, I apologize. I’m convinced the NC State Farmer’s Market is the best. Although, it’s the only STATE Market I’ve been too. πŸ˜‰ Pick up some of the yummiest “jam” you can find. (Jelly=just the juices, Jam=yummy crushed fruit, Preserves=yummy chunks & pieces of fruit…guess which ones we like) \

Step 2: Toast the bread…not too crispy, you’ll toast again. I like Arnold brand personally…lots of nuts & grains!

Step 3: Spread the jam on one piece, peanut butter on the other. Plenty of jam, not too much peanut butter or you won’t get through it without a gallon of almond milk! πŸ˜‰

Step 4: Cut into PBJ “fries” for the little ones, or triangles for yourself, ya big kid! πŸ™‚

Step 5: Toast a little longer (I should probably specify that I’m using a toaster oven and a tray. It’ll be pretty messy otherwise!)

Step 6: Cool off a little bit and check to make sure that jam isn’t too hot in the center!

This pairs well with yogurt and a cup of almond milk. πŸ™‚ Enjoy!
